A tailor-made place for laughter, life and learning in the great outdoors

We bought the cottage from the Forestry Commission in the 1970s, to offer outdoor adventures to the pupils of Bath’s Beechen Cliff School. Today it’s available to benefit all sorts of likeminded schools and groups.

By hiring-out the cottage, we achieve two simple goals – to expand the number of young people experiencing life changing learning; and reinvesting that small income to continually improve the building and available activities.

The Trust is a made up of a small group of Beechen Cliff School staff members, who volunteer their free time and expertise to maintain the cottage – to offer an affordable facility where children can broaden their horizons and gain valuable experience and skills.
